You need to watch the forums for people that post which USB flash drives work, and get that exact model to use yourself, until you find one that works you can put the original HDD aside to preserve as your backup. The problem is not all USB drives are compatible. Lots of people have successfully used Asus Backtracker on the G751 now, so the Asus Backtracker program is working. If you have successfully cloned to the new SSD, then you can run from it, and put the original HDD aside to save for future cloning, or to put into the laptop for sending to Asus for RMA repair later in the life of the laptop.
